Six years ago NASA discovered the possibility of alien life within our solar system. A probe was launched to collect samples, but crashed upon reentry over Central America. Soon after, new life forms began to appear and half of Mexico was quarantined as an infected zone. Today, the American and Mexican military still struggle to contain "the creatures"... Our story begins when a U.S. journalist agrees to escort a shaken American tourist through the infected zone to the safety of the U.S. Border.

This movie is so bad. And I mean bad on every level. The only even remotely good is the initial story concept. The acting SUCKS. The script SUCKS. The 2 main characters are both irritating idiots that I kept hoping they would die just to end the movie. Predictable storyline. Don't waste your time watching this garbage. I am shocked so many gave this thing 5 stars! But no accounting for taste!

Pure and utter garbage! I'm so disappointed in this film because it had so much potential. It could've been so much more! This may as well had been a ride through universal theme parks. Not a movie! This is a sad attempt at a film. It lacks a substantive theme, an imaginatitive script, elements of excitement, and most of all... actual "monsters". Waste of time!

Just saw this movie for the 1st time since I saw there releasing a sequel soon I figured I'd check the original out and I was really surprised on how good this movie is. Sure they don't show a while lot of cgi action but that's what makes this movie good along with a love story of sorts thrown in, it makes this one of the better movies I've watched in a while, hopefully the sequel isn't just all non stop action and it follows what the original was like.
