I found this much more entertaining than the original Monsters. The first film was decent but the pacing was rather slow & there was hardly any interaction with the aliens. This one gives you everything that the first did not. A lot of action, good pacing, more interaction with the aliens. There is also great social commentary in the story about where we're at now in America, the war on terror & what where willing to do and become to accomplish those goals.

We are our worst enemies! Not an alien invasion or a zombie hoard! Our inner darkness and ability to be the most evil things imaginable is the premise of the film. It is absolute truth you can not think of something more horrible, depraved, or out right sick than what we as humans have done to each other. Plain and simple we are the monsters. Great flick war movie with alien invasion on the on the side. Loved it. No other film like it.

It's a great war movie where the monsters are totally unnecessary. Much like in the first film, which did exclude the monsters until the final 5 minutes, they seem to have shown up on the wrong movie set. Rule no. 1 for successful monster movies is broken in both films: In order for the monsters to be scary, they have to kill people!
