This film is dire!!! One of the few films I have switched off before the end. This film can't decide what it wants to be. The monsters seem to be an intermittent distraction, in between tedious periods of annoying, whining grunts, trying to put across so called moral dilemmas. Nothing like the original. Definitely save your money and give this a miss

(Spoilers) So its a movie about army buddies/group that goes on a mission in a warzone, and most of them die...oh and there were some monsters in it too, but not a lot. This was really disappointing! I was hoping for more monsters and was not expecting it to be just a war movie. I didnt feel emotionally attached to ANY of the men, so when they died, I was like Meh, next!

If you are expecting something like the first, you'll be disappointed. There is the odd beautiful moment but aside from that it's a mix up of military and monsters who don't actually feature that much... A real shame it could have been so much more.
