Lovable Sulley (John Goodman) and his wisecracking sidekick Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) are the top scare team at MONSTERS, INC., the scream-processing factory in Monstropolis. When a little girl named Boo wanders into their world, it's the monsters who are scared silly, and it's up to Sulley and Mike to keep her out of sight and get her back home.

I would recommend watching Monsters University first because although it is the second film, it tells you how Mike and Sully came to be scarers. This film is amazing, I watch it over and over. I love it. Maybe you should also see for yourself how alike Boo and Agnes (from Despicable Me) are!

I still remember seeing this movie in the cinemas in 2001. I was 10. Great movie. I was probably the perfect age for this movie. Also go see the prequel Monsters University (2013) when ecen at 22 still Great. And now 28 and still great. But damn I'm getting older!

I saw this in the cinema when I was younger. A great story, a nice look into the world of monsters and their relationship with children. May be slightly frightening for very young children but no issue for the 6+ ones.
