About this movie

In Moonfall, a mysterious force knocks the Moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it. With mere weeks before impact and the world on the brink of annihilation, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler (Academy Award® winner Halle Berry) is convinced she has the key to saving us all - but only one astronaut from her past, Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson, "Midway") and a conspiracy theorist K.C. Houseman (John Bradley, "Game of Thrones") believe her. These unlikely heroes will mount an impossible last-ditch mission into space, leaving behind everyone they love, only to find out that our Moon is not what we think it is.

This movie was terrible. I don't have high expectations for this sort of sci-fi films but this was embarrassing. The core idea could been interesting but they totally missed the mark: from terrible acting, to non-sense actions, the movie moves from one stereotype to the other of disaster movies. I found myself laughing in some points at how ridicolous some scenes were (military dude not following orders; flying car etc.). But I'll give to it that special effects were really well made.

Haven't finished watching it, but feel I have more than enough to write a simple, straight to the point review. Also, English is not my first language so please bear with me. I'm kinda disappointed on some A-list actors that are in this movie. From the beginning the acting is bad, the effects were not what I expected (for today's standards), it felt like some scene sequences didn't make sense, too unrealistic to be called sci-fi. It could've been something great but the mark was missed.

Easily one of the stupidest films of the past few years. The car chase scene alone made me blush out of embarrassment. The only thing less realistic and convincing than the physics in this movie were the cardboard characters. Hadn't heard of Charlie Plummer before....so I don't want to pile on. But Sonny is the lousiest....and laziest written character that I've seen in a very long time. Nobody could have played that role decently.
