About this movie

In her Academy Award winning role, Cher, while waiting for her timid fiance to decide between her and his mother, falls in love with her fiance's estranged brother (Nicolas Cage), a bakery worker with a love of opera and life. Supporting actress Olympia Dukakis and screenwriter John Patrick Shanley also won Oscars in this comedy classic.

This is a classic romantic comedy from a time when movies had it all. A great cast, a well written script and a great setting (NYC pre 911).

This movie has comedy, no doubt, I loved taking a peek into a great family, their customs and sayings, their laughter and drama and incredible friends, and extended family members! Great movie, wonderful actors! Job well done!

This movie is about an Italian family and neighborhood in New York. It demonstrates the power of love and that each one the family members and friends both young and old has the option to remain loving and honorable to their family or choose to love someone new. Just when you think you know who's with whom, one night there's a big beautiful full moon which has an affect on them all and love won't be denied. So what choices do they make? Watch and see...
