I'm reading all of the bad comments here but, honestly? I loved it! As someone else mentioned, the acting was spot'on. I did feel that the storyline could have been more in depth but the one used is NOT horrible. Extremely creative, refreshingly original. NOTHING like Splice or Species. The only thing this movie has in common with any of the others is that Morgan was created in a lab. I love that they show how her defects are triggered by HUMAN error and that she definitely could have been just fine in a more honest environment. She has pure human emotions. Intense emotions that need nurturing to groom her into the most advanced being currently in existence. What I alsp love, is the similarity of dogs in regernce to age Vs. appearance. I have a 1-year old Mali who is always mistaken for being older because of his massive size. Physically he's a beast but mentally he's just a baby! Morgan is the same. She's barely older than a toddler and looks like a teenager. While her mind is more advanced than a 100% human being, her emotion...the way that she receives the world and responds to love, lies, fear, is still much like a very young child new to...everything.Yes, a couple of the characters are foolish (lack of common sense). Personalities identical or worse than these exist in real life. As annoying as they were, contrary to one of your comments their ignorance doesn't downgrade the movie in any way. They played the perfect idiots. The bond between Morgan and one of the characters in particular is beautiful like mother and child. If you must compare with another movie I would say a slightly muted versiom of A.I. with Jude Law and Haley Joel Osment (phenomenal!). The concept, the characters, the progression of the movie, very intense! The only thing that I would wish differently is the majority of the movie being stuck indoors. I'd love to see a return of Morgan post-escape with more outdoor action!

Morgan is a somehow cool movie directed by Luke Scott, stars as like as Kate Mara and Anya Taylor-Joy did a really good job in there. while the ending wasn't so much guessable, the story was a kind of Frankenstein movie. You know, it won't make you feel tired during the story, and of course, due to Anya Taylor-Joy's perfect acting, you will really get connected to the role and you will feel Morgan while it isn't a human actually, the story isn't really bad, but I just think that the role of Dr. Alan Shapiro wan't powerful enough, seems that he just made suicide :/. Rose Leslie which has the nearest connections to Morgan and its actress played cool too, seemed really non problematic. about the ending I have to say that it could be better, it didn't need as much as that bloody story line. I think I can say that Anya Joy really seemed talented here, it was a perfect movie to show her abilities.

I wanted so badly to like this movie. The actors are spot on with their performances, but the script just didn't hold up as the characters seemed oblivious to common sense or reason. The story is original, but seems uninspired leading to a twist that falls flat on its face. One star for the acting, one for original plot (would've been two or three of there were more depth or explanation as to the motives behind the passiveness of certain characters during one certain high stress situation in particular) minus 1 1/2 stars for the abysmal forest scene and final sequences.
