Acerca de esta película

Visionary filmmaker Peter Jackson presents a startling new adventure unlike any you've seen before. Hundreds of years after our civilization was destroyed, a new world has emerged. A mysterious young woman named Hester Shaw leads a band of outcasts in the fight to stop London – now a giant predator city on wheels – from devouring everything in its path.

I waited a long time before i finally decided i wanted to sit down for 2 hours and watch this movie, but at no point was i truly interested in it. Pros -The visuals are amazing. The shear concept and scale of the cities are awesome -The protagonist, who's name I have already forgot, was a good cast -Minions gave me a good laugh Cons -The Shrike thing that was going on during the movies second act was not necessarily needed but did explain why the Protagonist had some serious issues -The different supporting roles and even the Antagonist was easily predictable Overall the movie was hard to get me to care about anything that was happening on screen because it took little time fleshing out anyone other than the Protagonist. Compared to other great epics that were coming out like Alita. It is an interesting ride in between text messages and will occupy your time but then leave you wishing you would have watched something else.... I feel like a lot of the best parts of the movie are likely on the edit room floor in favor of all the action sequences Would rent, wouldn't buy

If you wanna bad talk the this movie cause your one of those anti CGI people have fun being a hater. and just because it has some star wars like scenes dose not make it a bad movie. as a mater of fact it is more a movie about an oppressive power praying on the week and the weak fight it and win. star wars has that same them. relay when you boil it down most stories are the same. what makes mortal engines better than just some sloppy high budget remake is Christian Rivers dedication to the details and his original take on the underdog.

Finally something that's not a Rom Com, Marvel movie, or horror flick. Also doesn't dissolve into a pseudo romance film. Everything tied in quite well with the landscape and how the scenes functioned. Easily kept on the edge of my seat for the entirety of the movie. Nor did it lack any pace. I could have easily enjoyed another hour of simple machine crushing. One key aspect was all of the interaction with the characters and objects tied nicely into the environment. Giving you a very "possible" feel to it. The art of non-cliche-make-sure-it-sells film making is dying but this movie holds onto the creativity very well. This is one of the better films I have watched in the past two years. I was easily captivated from the start. This is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review for a movie as it's not doing as well as it should and I would argue for the wrong reasons. If you want a movie that deviates from your standard release, this is the film for you. Most importantly - I'd be happy to watch this movie a few times more. I have not had that since The Revenant.
