I generally liked the classic MK violence but I think the movie has a lot of issues. For one thing, a lot of the dialogue was cringy and lame, while the script felt rushed, trying to check off every moment as much as possible. The Liu Kang and Kitana scene adds nothing to the film and cutting it out wouldn't change anything. And the plot twist was delivered terribly and not built up, it was the worst I've ever seen. All in all, Wasted Potential!

The movie is probably the best mortal Kombat adaption yet that you'll ever see. It grabs a handful of the roster from the first mortal kombat game and tells a brutal revenge tale with the mk events happening through the eyes of scorpion. And even if you don't know much about mk this is a really good starting point just to get into the lore. Fans will love this, critics should probably waste their critiques somewhere else for the obvious nitpickery is here.

This is a great MK movie. As the title says, it focuses on Scorpion, but a lot of other characters are here to keep you cheering and entertained throughout. Great video game visuals and references. If you want to nitpick about the original "Tournament" storyline, you might be a little disappointed- other than that I recommend this movie.
