Why do mountains now hold us spellbound, drawing us into their dominion, often at the cost of our lives? Mountain is a cinematic and musical collaboration between acclaimed director Jennifer Peedom and the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO), one of the greatest chamber orchestras in the world. Absolutely first class in every way. Stunning visuals and spectacular sound that take you right to the edge of the mountain. Rather than fill you with facts and figures, it fills you with awe. The crystal clear audio made it feel like the Chamber Orchestra we’re performing right there in my lounge room. Superb, thought provoking narration delivered with a liquid velvet baritone. It launched me onto Google Earth, where I have familiarised myself with the geography of Everest, that immense and sheer face of rock to Everest’s south, and it’s western column, cathedral like when viewed from the north. I only rented this, when my rent period expires I am going to purchase this presentation. I have watched it three times in two days.

Incredible cinematography and even more incredible soundtrack, with occasional narration by William Dafoe. Amazing movie, loved it!
