لمحة عن هذا الفيلم

Gore Verbinski, the TV-commercials director responsible for the Budweiser frogs, directed this Adam Rifkin screenplay about two brothers (Nathan Lane and Lee Evans) who inherit a string factory and a decaying country home after the death of their father (the late William Hickey, in his last role). After moving in, they learn that the house has historical architectural importance and is valued in the millions. However, they are constantly tormented by a mouse within the walls. They engage in cartoon-like combat against the rodent, but it manages to outwit the brothers in successive situations. Both live and animatronic mice portray the title role, and some scenes assume the mouse's point of view. The film is dedicated to William Hickey.

It's a poor man's live action tom and Jerry cartoon replacing Tom the cat with dumb and dumber and Jerry with an mouse so smart it should be studied for ages the comedy was ok at first until you realize that the more they try to kill the mouse the more they destroy the house and at the action if the would have left it alone instead of flooding the walls to kill it they would have been rather rich but I guess what the moving was pushing is don't get greedy by trying to sell the house instead be thankful for the factory they already have

The age says 6-12...it was not appropriate for a 6-10 year old. If we would have know the content we would not have let them watch it. And it was supper cheese, pun intended...

Marketed as a ridiculous children's film, and at times is no more than that, Mouse Hunt really is deep down the story of two brothers who are struggling with their former relationship to their late father and the current relationship with each other in life. What gets in the way is a ridiculously silly Tom & Jerry like hunt for a mouse, but there really is more to the movie than that. Jerry Goldsmith infects us with a stupidly hummable score, director Verbinski shows us he can successfully make almost any kind of film, and the over-the-top performances of Nathan Lane and Lee Evans really sell the absurd yet completely entertaining situations.
