I like Ian McKellen, i like Sherlock Holmes, but this is one boring movie... I couldn't sit more than 30 mins in the movie.. This is a story of a demented elderly, trying to remember his past.. The acting of Ian McKellen is good as always though...

Completely different take on Holmes compared to recent franchises. Beautifully filmed, wonderfully acted by the cast and an interesting if somewhat sad story. Sir Ian McKellen is brilliant as an older version of Sherlock as he sorts out his legacy.

I am a fan of Sherlock Holmes but this movie didn't seem to do anything for the character in old age or entertain us with the sheer genius of Sherlock Holmes. Not worth wasting your time in this.
