Really beautiful coming of age story in which a lesson about the complexity of love, the many forms if can take, and how it can manifest, is slowly and rawly carved out - I wont say too much as I don't want to spoil it for anyone. But, if you like seeing films that get you thinking and that have a deeper, philosophical stance - then I think you will love this film. It's quite slow moving, but i enjoyed that about it - I think it is necessary so you to get the time and feel for the essence of the story and the characters.

A beautiful film and very well acted by all the cast. Matthew mcconuaghey can act and his trusting, driven yet innocent character is a delight to watch. These days good reviews are given to any old rubbish as long as it is visually exciting regardless of plot. This deserves better reviews.

A good movie and a likely contender for Oscar nominations given its romanticism of 70s/80s movie concepts, and the superb casting of Matthew McConaughey and Tye Sheridan. Jeff Nichols has yet again performed exceptionally even on the back of 2 impressive directorial pieces: Take Shelter and Shotgun Stories. Not sure about the ending though, it seems confused to me.
