A good movie and a likely contender for Oscar nominations given its romanticism of 70s/80s movie concepts, and the superb casting of Matthew McConaughey and Tye Sheridan. Jeff Nichols has yet again performed exceptionally even on the back of 2 impressive directorial pieces: Take Shelter and Shotgun Stories. Not sure about the ending though, it seems confused to me.

A beautiful film and very well acted by all the cast. Matthew mcconuaghey can act and his trusting, driven yet innocent character is a delight to watch. These days good reviews are given to any old rubbish as long as it is visually exciting regardless of plot. This deserves better reviews.

McConaughey is good in this very slow film about self discovery and unrequited love. The younger actors are excellent too but I didn't find it kept my attention. Critics loved it so may be worth a try but I can't highly recommend it.
