It's a very tired performance without any innovation of a well worn story. Instead of feeling like you're sitting with a old friend this version leaves one looking for the exit. Branagh as poirot is not sympathetic and is just clownish. The cast should have been thrown from that train trestle to save us all a few bucks and a couple hours of our precious time.

Thoroughly OKAY. With the movie's great cast, beautiful cinematography and solid source material, Kenneth Branagh had a great chance to do something fun and interesting here but missed the mark. Inconsistent and missing a sense of urgency. The 1974 version was better executed. Still an entertaining watch and look forward to improvement on the sequel!

It was interesting. The cast was perfect. The acting was wonderful. However, the major twist was easy to predict, and like many of Agatha Cristie's works, the ending was overly complicated and impractical. I do enjoy many of her books, even the ones that are unrealistic. I think it is difficult to translate her books to movie form because she writes in so many characters and there isn't enough time to properly develop each one on screen.
