Based on the novel by Claire Cook, a 40-year-old divorcee (Oscar and Golden Globe-nominee Diane Lane, "Under the Tuscan Sun") throws herself back into the dating scene after a two-year "dry spell." When her sister writes a personal ad for her that includes the criteria "must love dogs," the divorcee has to borrow a canine to support her sister's exaggeration. What she doesn't know is, her prospective date (Golden Globe-nominee John Cusack, "Runaway Jury," "Serendipity") is doing the same thing, because he doesn't own a dog, either. Also starring, Elizabeth Perkins ("Moonlight and Valentino," "Finding Nemo"), Dermot Mulroney ("My Best Friend's Wedding"), Golden Globe-nominee Christopher Plummer ("Alexander") and Oscar and Golden Globe-nominee Stockard Channing (TV's "The West Wing"). ©2005 Warner Bros. I really enjoyed this film. John Cusack is a great actor, lead female is not one of my favourites but she'll do!!

Not your standard romcom which is a good thing. In my opinion v.well written and stella cast.

I always like a good comedy like this I'm a girl and I'm 10 OK you should totally get it :)
