Academy Award winner Marlon Brando stars as the first mate who leads his ship's exploited and abused crew in the Mutiny on the Bounty. The SouthPacific, 1789. On the far side of the Earth from their home in England,the crew of the H.M.S. Bounty suffers under the sadistic leadership of its captain, William Bligh (Trevor Howard). Months from its return to port, the ship's first mate, Fletcher Christian (Brando), realizes that many of the crew members will not survive the voyage unless he takes control of the ship. But his decision to mutiny means that none of the crew can ever return home in this enduring, true adventure.

Very nice scenery, I assume all of the Tahitian scenes were shot on location. Some good acting by Marlon Brando. Interesting takes on some pivotal actions in contrast to the later 1984 version (I haven't seen the 1935 version yet), such as what finally pushed Fletcher over the edge to mutiny, and the reason why this Bounty was ultimately set ablaze.

Brando went all out to try to make it as realistic as possible, but stupid Hollywood Elites rejected him - until Godfather! Englishmen understandably, went crazy with desire for these Island beauties, especially Fletcher Christian!🤪

I owned this great classic movie, but it was stolen from me.
