Roberto is a philandering doctor who has always held a soft spot in his heart for the beautiful Frida. However, Frida is married to his best friend, Michele. Roberto is diagnosed with a serious heart ailment and must travel to America for major surgery, which he has a slim chance of surviving. Before Roberto leaves, he asks Michele for one final favor-permission to make love to his wife.
