About this movie

Passion overtakes reason in this dark, layered romance based on Daphne du Maurier’s novel, starring Oscar® Winner Rachel Weisz. Believing his beautiful cousin Rachel (Weisz) murdered the man who raised him, Philip (Sam Claflin), a young Englishman, plots revenge against her. But, despite evidence that Rachel is a killer, Philip falls in love with her in this visually stunning, tension-laced film.

This movie leaves you exactly where it wants to...certain and uncertain. A time when women were just men's property. Where men learnt to think they could buy women's love and affection. Quite a mysterious and suspicious tone and sometimes sickening ideas... It was good, I think I have a headache now. hehe

Don't expect any answers. It's just a fashionably feminist movie about how women can do whatever they like and possess whatever they wish. A bit of an exaggeration on the time it was set, but that's irrelevant these days.
