Canterlot High meets its rival school in a competition that's a long-standing tradition, The Friendship Games. Sunset Shimmer and her friends compete against someone with an equal amount of interest in Equestrian magic, this world's Twilight Sparkle.

This movie has no right to be as good as it is, but surprise surprise these movies get better with each entry. The amount of care and attention put into every scene, character design, song and voice acting shows that the creators understand they have a fan base that expects quality. This is a must watch for any My Little Pony fan of any age and is one that you will no doubt watch again and again as well as hum along to the songs without even realizing it.

Third part of Sunset Shimmer's story. Continues where the last movie ended with SciTwi investigating magic at CHS. Along with the fantastic elements per MLP norms, a lot of the story deals with high school issues of aloneness, intellectual isolation, homesickness, and many other emotional and social problems. The songs are top tier, even for MLP. I highly recommend the movie to MLP fans and to those who need a big boost to their happiness.
