A landmark screwball comedy from Hollywood's golden age, My Man Godfrey follows the madcap antics of a ditzy debutante (Carole Lombard) who stumbles upon a "forgotten man" (William Powell) at the city dump. Determined to help Godfrey out, she offers him work in her household and he soon becomes the perfect butler for her eccentric family. If you like vintage films, and comedy with some drama, a love story sideline, and a happy ending, this one's for you! Especially if you are a Powell fan.

Extremely funny. Also a fascinating film in that it gives us a fly-on-the-wall view of the effect of the Great Depression on Americans of varying social status.

If you want a screwball comedy this is it sit back for lots of laughing and good humor. William Powell gives a great performance.
