Rizwan Khan, a devout Muslim suffers from Asperger's syndrome, which renders him difficult to socialize with the external world. When he travels to San Francisco to be with his elder brother Zakir, he meets a single mother Mandira, and falls in love with her immediately and decide to marry. Life is blissfully simple for Mandira and Rizvan, till the attacks on the twin towers change their lives forever. Khan is labelled a terrorist suspect, purely on the basis of his surname. When a shocking incident destroys his family, Rizwan decides to travel to Washington to meet the President to clear his name. Starring Shahrukh Khan in a career defining role and Kajol.
