Sara and Brian are living an idyllic life with their young son and daughter, Jesse and Kate, when they receive heartbreaking news that leads them to make an unorthodox choice in order to save Kate's life. Their decision eventually raises both ethical and moral questions, ultimately setting off a court case that reveals surprising truths and challenges everyone's perceptions of love and loyalty, giving new meaning to the definition of healing.

The movie is awful compared to the book. The movie leaves out sooooo much and follows a completely different story line. In the movie Kate dies. In the book Anna dies. Also, they leave out the story why the lawyer has seizures, (he got in a bad accident) & they left out his girlfriend. In my opinion the acting was not that great. The book was so amazing that im devastated the movie turned out this awful. :(

I try to play the movie in my tablet and my computer, and it does not work, stops constantly and sometimes I only can hear the voices not video at all.

I love the movie but I hate how selfish the parents were they where so caught up with Kates problem that Jesse didn't get noticed until later
