About this movie

Jim Carrey reteams with his Batman Forever director, Joel Schumacher, for this dark psychological thriller, which revolves around a man who becomes haunted by the fact that he's reading a book about his own life . . . and that the book ends in his murder. The Number 23 is both the title of the film and the book within the film, and the number 23 is intertwined in the plot of the novel and, therefore, the man's real life.

You look at the 8% rotten tomato score and how most reviews disregard this movie as not worth it but if you're in a place where you're willing to dig deeper and you have a creative yet slightly sick mind-you can understand this movie and enjoy it. I don't watch a lot of movies but this stands out, definitely.

Rotten tomatoes is unofficially the worst movie rating website around. The number 23 movie is a genius work by Jim Carrey. Far off from what he normally commits to filming.

One of Jim Carrey's best roles. I love him in the few roles that he has a darker side then his normal roles.
