Rreth këtij filmi

The comic misadventures of the beleaguered Griswold family continue in this latest "Vacation" outing, the third and most successful of the series. This time America's most dedicated dad (Chevy Chase) is determined to stay at home to create "the most fun-filled old fashioned family Christmas ever" -- but life has a particular way of throwing wet logs on Clark Griswold's fire. Look for Emmy and Golden Globe-winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus (TV's "Seinfeld") in a supporting role. Written by John Hughes ("Home Alone" series). MPAA Rating: PG-13 (c) 1989 A Warner Bros. This is a very angry movie. Much of the comedy comes from mocking the elderly grandparents for their inabilities due to age, including when they kill the grandmother's cat. There is a very long scene of the father hitting on a woman about half his age in a store, with a follow up scene of him imagining her stripping for him. I don't understand why people like this movie so much, to me it was just rude, mean, and vicious about things outside people's control.

I have to watch this every year. One of the funniest Christmas movies about a Dad who tries to put together the best Christmas for his family. He tries so hard to make it perfect but nothing seems to go his way. Too many funny scenes, one after another and you catch more things each time you watch it. two final words, Cousin Eddy.

This movie is a little before my time, but is still my favorite Xmas movie of all time! Maybe tied to the Home Alone franchise, but its very close. I also love National Lampoon's Vacation, so this type of unsophisticated comedy just appeals to me. If you like a schmucky laugh and a predictable yet enjoyable plot, this is for you.
