Lucy Hill (Renée Zellweger) is an ambitious, up and coming executive living in Miami. She loves her shoes, she loves her cars and she loves climbing the corporate ladder. When she is offered a temporary assignment - in the middle of nowhere - to restructure a manufacturing plant, she accepts the opportunity, knowing a big promotion is close at hand. What begins as a straight forward job assignment becomes a life changing experience as Lucy discovers greater meaning in her life and more unexpectedly, the man of her dreams (Harry Connick, Jr.).

This is a great "feel-good" movie to watch! I never get tired of watching it when I want to view something relaxing and that puts a smile on my face and a warm feeling in my heart! Renee, Harry and the supporting cast make it just a wonderful movie to enjoy over & over again!!

Whenever we have a wicked cold winter day, I think of the scene where Renee Zellweger walks out the airport doors and gets her first blast of artic cold wind and you hear her release the beginning explicative 'MOTHER.. ' before the doors closed behind her. 😂

I loved the fish out of water story and Minnesota has a lot of cultural quirks that just have to grow on you.
