Boone (Craig Sheffer) may be a troubled young man, but his troubles are just beginning. Hellraiser creator Clive Barker writes (adapting his novel Cabal) and directs this vivid leap into horror that asks: in the battle of man vs. monster, who's really the monster? The answer supplies flesh-crawling suspense, sudden fear, a colorful Danny Elfman score and a creepy array of shape-shifting beings. As a big fan of horror movies let me just say that they don't write them like this anymore. Its worth the purchase and is worth far more than the rental price.

There is some kind of magic to this film. It is by far on my top 10 all time favorite for movies. Actually the mask worn in my profile picture is from this movie.

One of Clive Barker's best stories, and a great adaptation to film.
