NIGHTCRAWLER is a thriller set in the nocturnal underbelly of contemporary Los Angeles. Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Lou Bloom, a driven young man desperate for work who discovers the high-speed world of L.A. crime journalism. Finding a group of freelance camera crews who film crashes, fires, murder and other mayhem, Lou muscles into the cut-throat, dangerous realm of night crawling - where each police siren wail equals a possible windfall and victims are converted into dollars and cents. Aided by Rene Russo as Nina, a veteran of the blood-sport that is local TV news, Lou blurs the line between observer and participant to become the star of his own story. (CBFC A DFL/3/78/2014-MUM)

Ratings and reviews

Everything was amazing up until the final scene. The acting for the protagonist was top notch, and the soundtrack really set the mood. The general idea of the movie was one of the more original and creative plots I have seen in any recent movie. However, the ending was incredibly anticlimactic, and while I went in with high expectations, I definitely came out rather unsatisfied.

The movie starts slow and later it thrills us.But the ending is very poor.The ending of the movie made it like a antiheroic and Oscar like movie.This movie is definitely watchable for all MediaWorkers.Jake Gyllanhal is still my favourite actor.

So creepy but so good. Jake my oh my you were amazing. It's a shame that you got snubbed for the likes of Bradley Cooper. I'm sorry he's hot and I love him and that body build was amazing but this was much superior to American Sniper.
