A young boy convinces a judge to allow him to sever his familial ties. Once rid of his work-obsessed parents, North embarks on an international quest for the quintessential set of parents. This film is ungodly awful. Nothing in this is funny, not even the fact that it is so bad. Spend your money on something more worthwhile.

People who don't like this movie are also the type of people to say "im just not a dog person" don't trust em this movie is great quirky and an example of why the 90s are so fondly remembered

This movie is exactly what was great about the 90s.. its fun, quirky and most of all it has an "original" story and not some terrible remade idea that movies are today. Too many people are "uptight" these days and find everything "offensive". Watch this movie and go back to a time where "comedy was funny" . One of my favorite childhood movies.
