Set in the early 1950s through to the mid-60s and during the era of Vatican II, a young woman in training to become a nun struggles with issues of faith, the changing church and sexuality.

Película extraordinaria, con una dirección excelente de una Directora de Cine, a la cual espero en más películas, una hermosa fotografía, guión impecable, y actuaciones brillantes por parte tanto de las Jóvenes actrices como de la monja Superiora a cargo del convento. Debió ser nominada a los Oscares como una de las mejores películas y las actuaciones también debieron ser premiadas. Su temática es conflictiva aún en los momentos actuales, en los que la Fe y la humanidad De la Iglesia católica están sufriendo desafíos y cambios.

Goede film dat aantoont dat God geen kerk is, en dat religie de manier van geloven bepaald. God is Liefde, vrijheid, er is altijd een keuze om Gods "werk" te zien in jouw leven. God legt niets op, Hij is geen dictator.

Oh, I see, another piece of shaming Christianity. How original and fresh! (sarcasm) Such a pity you are allowed to blame all those problems only at one particular religion, but not the middle eastern one. I wonder why?
