About this movie

Over the course of 2 years, a police officer turned filmmaker and his wife traveled the United States and brought together experts and current/former law-enforcement officers in an effort to explore the highly secretive and socially taboo topic of what the officer experiences in the wake of an officer-involved shooting. What they found is a profound statement on the sheer humanity of the men and women who make split-second decisions and then enter into an emotionally charged series of events and questions. Featuring an exclusive interview with Officer Stephen Roach, whose shooting of an unarmed teenager in 2001 led to the Cincinnati riots.

I gave this film a "loved it" 5 star rating as it sheds light on one of the darkest aspects of society that is seldom addressed. The brutal reality of when a law enforcement officer has to use their firearm to take another's life. They didn't chose to kill but took an oath to protect and serve so that others can survive. This documentary will give you a new perspective on humanity.

I am no film critic, but I’ve seen my share of documentaries. “Officer Involved” is one of the most gripping films I’ve seen. The officers interviewed are surprisingly candid about the aftermaths of their incidents, and the filmmakers are artful in the way they weave all of those interviews into a film that begs for your undivided attention from start to finish. Everyone should see this film... cops and citizens alike.

Just a bunch of whiny cops crying about how they FEARED FOR THIER LIFE and killed another innocent unarmed citizen. Waist of money and time.
