Couldn’t watch this all the way through … stopped half way through, for the first time ever, and had to stop. Read and love the book, and this is not even close. The book was not exclusively about sex, drinking and pot! Also, the actors were terrible and completely mis-casted! These weren’t pretty people, these characters were real, but that actors weren’t ... they were just reading a script, and were not even close to the real people. I don’t think anyone making this movie ever read the book … it is a literary classic, and not exclusively about sex, drinking and smoking pot.

The film was full of sexual situations that were not in the book. The great story is better read, as the movie just made it seem like a pointless string of unimportant events.

BIG Disappointment... If you're expecting anything remotely like the poetry and gritty reality of the original work.
