What a disappointing adaptation of the novel To the Sky Kingdom by Tang Qi. The poor performances by Yang Yang and Yifei Liu do nothing to help this film. There simply was no chemistry between them. Essential elements and characters were left out of this presentation rendering it a confusing mishmash of events. The internet presentation "Eternal Love " starring Mark Chao and Yang Mi is, IMO, much better.

Don't think I can give it 5 stars due to the unfortunate fact that the drama :Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms" with Yang Mi and Mark Chao is such an outstanding and beautiful telling of the story that this movie ends up feeling cartoonish and weak. . If you can watch this first, before the other Chinese Drama you'll most likely enjoy it.

The movie had beautiful color effects. I realize this was a movie adapted from the drama Eternal Love but I was very disappointed with the ending. The actors I thought were good just poor script writing. Big let down for me.
