I adored this movie! I will BUY this movie! I, unlike some other reviewers here, did NOT see the TV show that the movie was adapted from. Watching this movie inspired me to watch the show, but if I never do, I'm so glad that I watched this adaptation! The actors were beautiful to watch and the story was endearing to me. The colors, the effects, the music - Gorgeous! and I am so impressed by the creative work of the actors and actresses. Usually when I hear a lot of negative comments, it just inspires me to see for myself. To the nay sayers, "Shut. Up." You help NO ONE. This is a beautiful work which is worth its own weight and value and not to be compared to something else. This is a BEAUTIFUL work that I will enjoy many more times!

What a disappointing adaptation of the novel To the Sky Kingdom by Tang Qi. The poor performances by Yang Yang and Yifei Liu do nothing to help this film. There simply was no chemistry between them. Essential elements and characters were left out of this presentation rendering it a confusing mishmash of events. The internet presentation "Eternal Love " starring Mark Chao and Yang Mi is, IMO, much better.

Excuse me two different version sweet heart this is a movie not a Drama and there different actors and different plots. Please dont compare watch them . This movie was a love story and its beautiful and well made, both the lead actors are such great actors and they made this movies a good one. so quit going into watching a movie and a Drama with your opinions of not good because your comparing the two accept them for there individual goals and be happy with what it gives you. This move makes you cry and smile alll at the same time...just enjoy it world its a great movie.
