Auteur Tsui Hark (A Chinese Ghost Story, Time And Tide) lives up to his reputation as the Steven Spielberg of Hong Kong with another much-awaited installment to his classic series Once Upon A Time in China. Legendary kung fu master Huang Fei Hong (Jet Li, Lethal Weapon 4, Romeo Must Die, Kiss Of The Dragon) has to fight battles on two fronts as he is forced into the Empress-sponsored Lion Dance Competition while having to battle a new suitor who comes wooing Aunt Yee (Rosamund Kwan). At the instigation of the Empress and her lackeys, the stage is set for a face-off between Huang and his skilled opponent (Xiong Xin Xin, Brotherhood Of The Wolf) whose shadowless kicks are lethal and a force to contend with.
