ಈ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರದ ಕುರಿತು

In the tradition of "The Godfather" comes Sergio Leone's compelling dramatic epic chronicling the lives of two boyhood cohorts and their struggle to achieve power in the gangland heirarchy. Academy Award- winner Robert De Niro ("GoodFellas," "A Bronx Tale") stars in this powerful tale of raw, brutal emotion. Co-starring Academy Award-nominee and Emmy-winner James Woods ("Nixon," "Ghosts of Mississippi"), Elizabeth McGovern ("She's Having a Baby"), Treat Williams ("Prince of the City") and Academy Award-winner Joe Pesci ("GoodFellas," "Lethal Weapon 2 & 3") co-star. Receiving two Golden Globe nominations, USA Today calls this "a visually stunning film" and The New York Times says it's a monument of filmmakers." Included on the 1984 Ten Best lists of both The Hollywood Reporter and Siskel & Ebert's "At the Movies," and available in its epic, uncut longer version. MPAA Rating: R (c) 1983 The Ladd Company. Growing up with American dreams. No one knew what dreams were of true freedom or being anything you wanted to be. Still being poor, they sought out life as it was. From the streets up. The story line is about friendship, rising, woman, money and being different and one with a different value of life. Excellent.

Outstanding! Cinematography, Screenplay, Casting and Music Score are all exemplary. This has a place alongside The Godfather and Gangs of New York in my library. The finest examples of it's genre.
