On the Line is a one-hour documentary centered on one of global motorsport’s most unique competitive challenges, the annual Race Of Champions. Told through the personal reflections of many of the world’s best race car drivers—names including Sebastian Vettel, Michael Schumacher, David Coulthard, Tom Kristensen, Sebastien Loeb, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Travis Pastrana, and many more—this production relies on archival and fresh narrations to examine the many sources and nature of risk in racing. Looking back at more than 30 years of events, exotic venues, and the challenges of head-to-head racing and sudden-death heats, in the end, we learn that reputational risk is the biggest vulnerability in sports.
