Acerca de esta película

Nicolas Winding Refn and Ryan Gosling reunite in the highly acclaimed Only God Forgives - a stylish, mesmerising and thrilling journey through Bangkok's criminal underworld. Julian (Gosling) runs a boxing club as a front for a drugs operation. He has everything he wants for and is respected in the criminal underworld though, deep inside, he feels empty. When Julian's brother is murdered, his mother (Kristin Scott Thomas, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen) - the head of a powerful criminal organisation - arrives in Bangkok to collect her son's body. Furious with grief, she dispatches Julian to find his killers and 'raise hell'. The stage is set for a bloody journey of betrayal and vengeance towards a final confrontation and the possibility of redemption. 2012 Space Rocket Nation, Gaumont & Wild Bunch

Eerily beautiful and disturbing.. This film is not handed to you on a plate and challenges the viewer, so if you prefer force fed trite watch a Jennifer anniston film. Kristin Scott is perfect as the abrasive donnatella Versace esq mother, and even she admitted the film is difficult to watch. Fight with god scene is hair raising in its build up. Kudos to all who went out on a limb and triumphed.

Very poor film. Boring, slow storyline. Movie trailer depicts the film brilliantly, just wish I had read the reviews before I purchased. Don't get me wrong, if theres nothing else on tv, nothing worth renting and you are completely dead bored, and the film was free to watch, then why not. Certainly not worth paying for though. Steer clear, spend your money on something worth watching.

Yes it is overly arty and a bit slow but I enjoyed it. There was a fair amount of action and perhaps the only thing I would have scaled back would be the karaoke scenes, but maybe they're appropriate to the Thai theme. I like winding refns style, loved drive and this isn't that far off. Kristin Scott Thomas steals the show as the awful gangsta mother.
