About this movie

The original on which VANILLA SKY is based--Cesar is a handsome playboy who has it all until he falls hard for the beautiful Sofia (Penelope Cruz) and a jealous ex-girlfriend tries to kill him and herself in a car accident that leaves him horribly disfigured. His perfect life turns into a nightmare as he suffers from flashbacks and visions and he starts to confuse reality with dreams.

Ratings and reviews

Unlike the Vanilla Sky remake this does not provide the explanation on a plate. Clever direction and excellent acting. Don't worry if you don't understand it all - you're not supposed to!

Plot may be confusing to some but the film is a gripping tale which focuses on the bold themes of love and acceptance. Great watch

But just shows why Vanilla Sky is such a great film, done so much better.
