The tragic loss of their unborn child has devastated Kate (Vera Farmiga) and John (Peter Sarsgaard), taking a toll on both their marriage and Kate's fragile psyche as she is plagued by nightmares and haunted by demons from her past. Struggling to regain some semblance of normalcy in their lives, the couple decides to adopt another child. At the local orphanage, both John and Kate find themselves strangely drawn to a young girl named Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman)...but Esther is not what she appears to be and, concerned for the safety of her family, Kate tries to get John and others to see past Esther's sweet facade. But her warnings go unheeded until it may be too late...for everyone.

Boy... I've come across people like this. The craziest one I've met so far is my cousin's wife. She comes off as this smart, subservient, soft-spoken, reserved "girl," but she's demented. She lied to my cousin about her background before he married her. My friend who doesn't know her well, already thought she was a psychopath. In fact, she's obsessed with me, with all the comments she posts about me on her social media. Haven't spoken to her in 2 years! She's never even met me in person. Creepy.

I hate it. I hate this orphan movie. you want to know why I hate it? Okay. I'll tell you why. First of all, Esther is killed sister Abigail , and after she killed her, she and her little sister hide her. Second of all, when they got out of the treehouse, Daniel, her brother see them, and Esther looks at him. Last of all, when Esther has a thing in her hand, she went to her brother, Daniel 's room and asked him about what 'd he see. Okay, that's all I told ya . bye guys. I'm gotta get some sleep

The movie is not even scary its. Intresting and its good movie. I watched this when i was 5 and didnt think it was scary. Lets talk about the cost, I think that the cost for this movie is a little bit over board. The rent should be $.99, and the buying should be $3.50 or somewhere in there. But other than that , The movie is great, my rating is not based on the actual watching part but on the out side things : scary or not, and cost. I rated the watching part of the movie 5 stars. You should watch it. 😄👍
