The film looks at the adventurous life of Lucky(Abhay Deol). He is a charming thief, who robs everyone, rich or poor and takes everything they own. Whether it is a car, or a TV, spoons or dry fruit, he takes them all with equal enthusiasm. What is amazing is the way he cons people, and thwarts the efforts of the entire police force in capturing him. From the inner city ghetto of West Delhi, Lucky a gawky 15-year-old lower middle class Sikh kid,rises to become one of the most wanted master thieves of India with tens of millions worth loot, a glamorous lifestyle, cars, women and a fan following. TOgether with childhood freind bengali he graduates to becoming a full-fledged thief. Luck's journey sees him develop into a flamboyant playboy who now wants more than just the riches. Now he needs the respectability and the social standing of a city gentleman without sacrificing that reckless freedom he cherishes- the freedom to steal. The other half is about why a wealthy thief who stole tens of million worth of jewellery, cars, gadgets and other valuables would also steal a greeting card, a teddy bear and a framed photo of family playing in snow.

ghatiya-mahaghatiya movie.AVOIDABLE. BORE. BEKAAR. put it on your no watch list. its strange i didnt like it bcoz i like most of the acclaimed movies. nothing is good. it has no story. poor music. Abhay deol is a bore nd always overacts in all movies. there is no single reason one should see this. there are many movies which have no story for ex-PIKU. but the acting of 3 main characters is so absorbing and background music,dialouges,cinematography are so good that you pardon them for weak story.

The 3 characterising of Paresh rawal is if immense significance.. One of the best bollywood movie to me..
