John Boyega (Star Wars series) is the rebellious Jake Pentecost, a once-promising Jaeger pilot whose legendary father gave his life to secure humanity's victory against the monstrous "Kaiju." Now an even more fearsome alien threat has been unleashed on the world and Jake is called back into action by his former co-pilot, Lambert (Scott Eastwood), and a 15-year-old Jaeger hacker, Amara (Cailee Spaeny). I would rather watch its rip off *which I haven't* than this.its to much cliché just soooooo much!! First I will never watch this sequel again so this is the story it's been 10 years since the quote unquote "kaiju" have risen so the main guy meets the main girl who has been messing with area 51 tech. They lose to the jaeger the girl from the previous film dies and the test bots and another 1 are corrupted and a rim portal appears all around the world and what happens next u say A WHOLE BUNCH BAD

One of the worst movies ever made. Stupid from start to finish. I guess it's supposed to be a sequel to the first one. But what it does, is leave you disgusted with both. John Boyega is the worst actor ever. He stunk up the Star Wars movies with his awful acting. Now they stick this jerk in a terrible movie that he alone fails to carry. You take just about any actor in this movie in his place and the movie would have a a least a chance.

OMG...I honestly couldn't believe how terrible this movie was! I really really wanted to like this, especially since I LOVED the first movie, I am so glad I didn't see it in theaters, what a departure from the amazing movie Guillermo Del Torro made in the first movie. The robot and monster FX are visibly cheaper than the original movie, they clearly spent 75% of the budget to hire the actors, and the last 25% was spent solely on the final battle, which is arguably the only entertaining part of the film. The final scene is the only reason to see this movie, so just skip the rest and enjoy 5 mins of action.
