John Boyega (Star Wars series) is the rebellious Jake Pentecost, a once-promising Jaeger pilot whose legendary father gave his life to secure humanity's victory against the monstrous "Kaiju." Now an even more fearsome alien threat has been unleashed on the world and Jake is called back into action by his former co-pilot, Lambert (Scott Eastwood), and a 15-year-old Jaeger hacker, Amara (Cailee Spaeny). Rising up to become the most powerful defense force to ever walk the earth, they will set course for a spectacular all-new adventure on a towering scale.

Massively disappointing sequel. They really shot themselves in the foot by trying to change this into a "young adult" franchise. They've ripped the heart out of the original franchise, turning it into a generic, soulless action film. Well at least the action scenes are still fairly decent.

Everyone is complaining about the movie but I thought I'd watch it and make up my own opinion as I really enjoyed the first one. Well I actually enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong it's not as good as the first one but it's definitely not Terrible like everyone's making out.

Nowhere near as good as the first one with a silly plot thrown together just so they can make another film when it could have been so much better the end of the film just turns into a CGI mass of robots smashing everything in sight seen it all before
