John Boyega (Star Wars series) is the rebellious Jake Pentecost, a once-promising Jaeger pilot whose legendary father gave his life to secure humanity's victory against the monstrous "Kaiju." Now an even more fearsome alien threat has been unleashed on the world and Jake is called back into action by his former co-pilot, Lambert (Scott Eastwood), and a 15-year-old Jaeger hacker, Amara (Cailee Spaeny). Rising up to become the most powerful defense force to ever walk the earth, they will set course for a spectacular all-new adventure on a towering scale.

Massively disappointing sequel. They really shot themselves in the foot by trying to change this into a "young adult" franchise. They've ripped the heart out of the original franchise, turning it into a generic, soulless action film. Well at least the action scenes are still fairly decent.

I found it entertaining of course. Ridiculous but entertaining. In the end of each movie they turn the Jagers into bombs. Same in both movies. So why not just use a bomb?... Answer -> Because big robots fighting with swords looks bad ass. paper beats rock. rock beats scissors. scissors beats paper. Nuclear Jager power core beats everything!

Really nice Sci-Fi effects but very poor plot. It feels like a film for children which really kills the expectations from the first one. It's worth to watch it once only
