And the trailer does the actual movie no justice. Over-the-top gore and not as much action as the trailer would lead you to believe. This is one where I saw the movie b4 the trailer...get opinions from others b4 diving into this one. Yeah, probably "based" on true events...but its not what you think from the trailer. 2 stars for some lol moments, but Monk isn't Monk in this movie ...people offended by cussing and swearing need not apply.

I cannot recall ever seeing a movie based on a true tale of kidnapping, drug use, murder and mayhem billed as a comedy. Ed Harris and Mark Wahlberg are well-respected actors, and Dwayne Johnson has been building his career playing the good guy, and appealing to young children. Did these crimes really happen? If so, the families of the victoms should speak up and call for a boycott of the studio, the director, the screenwriters and all the players until they make a formal, public apology and give their earnings from this travesty to charity. (And by the way, Mr. Johnson should go back to his old name, "The Rock," because his career should sink like one after this.)

This is definitely NOT a comedy, regardless of what the trailer makes it look like. It is very dark and gruesome, made all the worse for the fact that it is a true story and the filmmakers tried to present these horrible acts is a funny light. It made me a little sick to my stomach. The acting was great, and Dwayne Johnson definitely stole the show, but it is not...repeat NOT a feel good movie.
