About this movie

A raucous western comedy, is punctuated with a classic Lerner and Loewe musical score, including "They Call the Wind Maria" and "I Talk to the Trees." The story of a gold mining boomtown full of brawny men centres on the work-and-play partnership of Ben and Pardner (Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood) and the delicate wife they share (Jean Seberg).

My folks took me to the surround movie theater in 1969 to see this movie and although I was only 14, it became and still is my all time favorite movie! Amazon prime is using Wandering Star in their recent ad sung by Lee Marvin! How cool

I love this movie. One of my favorites. I watch it every time it comes on TV. The critics didn't like it, but I often disagree with the critics anyway. One of the best things about the movie is that Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood did their own singing. They won't win Grammies, but it gave the movie more realness.
