Wrongfully convicted for murder, Henri Charriere forms an unlikely relationship with fellow inmate and quirky convicted counterfeiter Louis Dega, in an attempt to escape from the notorious penal colony on Devil's Island.

An unnessesary remake, but still enjoyable like the original. After seeing this and Bohemien Rhapsody, Rami Malek is seriously making his mark in the movie world. Hope to see more of him in other decent roles soon.

This was a good fim in its own right and a respectful remake. It looked stunning and the two leads carried the film really well.

Good Movie. The relationship between the 2 main characters was great, Rami Malek was excellent.
