Based on the international best-selling autobiographical books "Papillon" and "Banco," this action-packed true story follows the epic life of Henri "Papillon" Charrière (Charlie Hunnam), a safecracker from the Parisian underworld who is framed for murder and condemned to life in the notorious penal colony on Devil's Island. Determined to regain his freedom, Papillon forms an unlikely alliance with quirky convicted counterfeiter Louis Dega (Rami Malek), who in exchange for protection, agrees to finance Papillon's escape. This story isn't and was never a feel good escape movie, it was about a bond that endured the unendurable. The pace of this movie was a testament to the nature of this sort of human suffering, with moments of action and excitement spaced out enough to really enjoy them. This has always been a classic and this new iteration is a wonderful new take on it!

This movie was amazing. But, it's so sad all the torture & solitary confinement he had to endure because he was falsely accused.

woooow tremenda historia la produccion y direccion bien ejecutados tocante a los protagonista hizieron un papel de primera categoria hubo una muy buena cantidad de historia , drama , y suspenzo yo altamente les recomiendo esta pelicula para mirarla en el cine o simplemente rentarla vale mucho la pena.
