Ki-Taek's family of four is close, but fully unemployed, with a bleak future ahead of them. The son Ki-Woo is recommended by his friend, a student at a prestigious university, for a well-paid tutoring job, spawning hopes of a regular income. Carrying the expectations of all his family, Ki-Woo heads to the Park family home for an interview. Arriving at the house of Mr. Park, the owner of a global IT firm, Ki-Woo meets Yeon-Kyo, the beautiful young lady of the house. But following this first meeting between the two families, an unstoppable string of mishaps lies in wait.

Good movie andwell written. Really good movie about a poor family struggling to survive trying to land jobs working for a wealthy family with an interesting twist. Characters are interesting and different cultural values are in play than in a normal western/American film with more of a family culture of honour and shame and found it interesting from a cultural aspect. No issues with subs when i watched it and can't understand Korean anyway so wouldn't notice and had no issues following the plot.

I really couldn't watch this movie. Google has managed to deliver an unacceptable disconnect between the timing of sub-titles and the dialogue - totally distracting and this wholly undermines what I suspect would be an absorbing film. We managed less than 15 minutes and gave up - it was driving us all crazy. Had the film been a slapstick comedy it may have proved humorous - but the appalling synchronization was a total distraction.

Excellent film. Google RUINED THIS MOVIE DO NOT DOW LOAD FROM PLAY STORE--- subtitles captions are the worst. Out by around 8 seconds in bits. THE SOUND - delays, and also this cut has missing score compared to the version on Apple TV. Ruined a perfect movie and overall experience. I will request refund. Currently watching in Apple TV with my wife and it's quality is not only better but the subtitles work and have transparent background.
