Raised to become an assassin, 11-year-old Alexander begins to question the ways of the cult-like commune he was born into, pitting him against father figure and leader Gregori (Vincent Cassell) in this Sundance award-winning thriller.
First of all not! a thriller. And nothing thilling about it. Even when one accepts it for a philosophical drama, the film tried to address too much, there was nothing compelling about it at the end. The cult leader's acting was great. Filming location is fantastic from a photography point of view. Couple of the scenes were memorable.
